SA 高級軍官禮刀

Extremely RARE Uncleaned SA High Leader's Chained Dagger. Carl Eickhorn, raised gilted, over-the-shoulder squirrel TM. An example of this RARE pattern dagger is described and illustrated on pages 41-43 of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich, Volume I. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show dark, uncleaned age patina to the oak leaf embellished crossguards and pommel nut. Dark, reddish-brown, fine grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with two small nicks on center reverse edge, but no cracks or chips. Gray metal eagle (in keeping with the later Eickhorn TM) and SA insert are properly inset. Superb, "Maiden Hair" Damascus blade grades Near MINT showing only faint surface wear with no speckling, pitting or nicks to cutting edges. Raised motto and Eickhorn TM show minor wear to gilting on blade spine, but no darkening or lifting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains 100% of the MINT, ORIGINAL, fine grained, brown leather covering with no wear, rips or tears. NOTE: nearly all SA High Leader Daggers in collections today have recovered leather scabbards. Dent-free, silver-plated upper, center, and lower scabbard fittings with routed borders, show dark age patina matching the hilt fittings with only one small spot of wear to the obverse lower fitting and are complete with unturned screws. Silver-plated chain hanger shows dark, uncleaned age patina and features 5 upper and 7 lower rectangular links with well detailed, raised swastikas in the center of the links. Chain hanger is RZM marked "RZM M5/8" (F.W. Assmann & Söhne) on the reverse lower link of the lower chain. The hanger is attached to a large SA Sigrunen clip and is complete with a brown leather teardrop hanger with gray felt backing. Superb example of a RARE SA Honor Dagger!
