Hermann Göring - a galley set from his personal airplane, a JU 290 
Originally taken by a U.S. Army officer from the airfield at Ainring near Obersalzberg. Contents of box consist of 4 plates, 4 cups, 4 drinking glasses (one with crack), 2 wine glasses, 4 forks, 4 spoons, 4 knives, and 3 fruit knives, all with Göring crest. Three of the knives with replaced Henckels blades. All pieces stored in wooden box with compartments and inserts to protect contents during transport. Silver plated flatware marked on reverse "BSF90". China plates marked on the reverse with a Bavarian crown over a crest having the initials "P.T." on either side of the crest. Below is the name of the company "Bavaria/Tirschenreuth/Germany". Green seal appears on all plates, saucers and cups. Göring crest is style with the shield at the bottom with the mailed fist and knight's head above the mailed arm with fist holding ring on top. All crests and seals are under glaze. Dishes are an off-white colour with a light green rim. Inside of wooden case containing dinnerware and flatware is unfinished (natural, outside is painted blue/grey). Equipped with standard hardware style catches with leather handle. Dimensions 50 x 40 x 5 cm
